Keywords Research Tools
Yesterday I went to the PPC Meetup here in Pompano Beach, and the topic of the day was keyword research. We analyzed some very good keyword research tools, like KeywordSpy (affiliate link), Spyfu, Hexatrack and few other tools.
Most of this tool let you find out (or at least they try) what keywords your competition is bidding on. If on one hand is true that more competition it means higher bids, it’s also true that if big fishes are bidding on certain keywords they probably made their researches before doing that and they are profitable.
Anyway I decided to create a simple list of what I think are really useful keyword research and elaboration tools.
Keywords Research Tools
They give you an idea of what your competition is bidding on and who is your competition for a certain keyword or niche.
Keywords Combination Tools
They help you creating a broader keywords selection mixing up different keywords. For example you can automatically associate your keyword “Car Dealer” with a list of cities and the results will be like “Car Dealer Chicago”, “Car Dealer Los Angeles”, etc. This is very helpful to hit the long tail.
If you need a free tool very similar to SpeedPPC send me a message and I’ll hook you up. (edit: my email is dave -@- themostreadpage.com )
Keywords Suggestion Tools
- SEO Book Keyword Suggestion tool
- Microsoft Keyword Forecast
- Google Suggest Tool
- Wordtracker Free Keywords
- Keyword Discovery
Of course there are tons of tools out there but these are the ones I mainly use.
