Shoemoney launches Fighers.com

Thursday, April 10th, 2008 |

I knew that Jeremy Schoemaker was going to launch Fighters.com but I didn’t know when and I don’t remember him officially launching the site; at least not on his blog.
But today listening to a mainstream internet radio I heard a commercial about it and I checked it out.

The design of the Fighters.com is pretty slick, nothing special but it works for this kind of site. Most of the graphic elements are the banners from Bodog. I was honestly expecting a little bit more from the social aspect of the sites, while right now the site seems to be just a news portal with pictures and videos submission.

You can definitely recognize that this site was made mainly to make money more than giving out a service. This could be good, but sometimes a good service can give you a bigger return on the long run. Just a personal opinion.

Ronaldo Milan Deal Close

Friday, January 26th, 2007 |

Ronaldo is close to completing a move from Real Madrid to AC Milan, according to reports from Italy.

The Brazilian superstar has fallen out of favour at the Santiago Bernabeu this season, with his fitness and attitude coming under the spotlight.

Yesterday Ronaldo went to Milan for a medical check at Milanello, and he watched the last night AC Milan game with Adriano Galiani, AC Milan vice-president.

Spanish daily Marca claimed earlier this week that the Rossoneri have already agreed terms with Ronaldo at six million Euros per season (around $7.8million).
It appeared Madrid wanted 20million Euros (around $26million) for his transfer, but now Gazzetta Dello Sport claims the fee could be much lower.
They say Milan have only offered four million, but could go as high as 10million, which might be enough to clinch a deal.

Beckham, the new prince!

Friday, January 26th, 2007 |

The former Real Madrid player, and next star of the MSL team Los Angeles Galaxy, has been photographed last month while he was impersonating a Disney character to promote a new theme park. Of course, he was posing as a Prince, riding a white horse against a fire-breathing dragon.

“There were many Disney characters I liked as a kid,” Beckham said in a statement released Friday by Disney. “Now my sons love the Disney characters and it’s a big part of their lives, a big part of many children’s lives around the world. So to be part of that is an honor and very exciting.”
The photo, shot at a lake near Madrid, Spain, by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz, will appear in magazines such as Vanity Fair and Vogue in March.
Leibovitz wanted people who were “globally iconic,” and Beckham was “an instinctive choice,” Disney spokesman Duncan Wardle said from Orlando, Fla.
The celebrities helped decide which characters they would portray, and Beckham liked the idea of “a hero role,” Wardle said.
“Each of the celebrities had fun dressing up,” he said. “Disney allows you to become a child again. … These guys had permission for the day and I think they thoroughly enjoyed it.”
