I know, I’m one month late but I had problems with my camera…
but I hope you will enjoy this very interesting presentation about link building strategies by Loren Baker, Editor in Chief of Search Engine Journal.

Tonight I’ll go to the South Florida SEO Meetup of this this month and hopefully I’ll be able to post the video in the next few days.
Here’s the video of the last Refresh Miami. The topic of the day was Web Accessibility, something that most of us often forget.
If you are in the South Florida area don’t miss our next Refresh Miami!
Ok, as I promised I started a UStream.tv channel about online marketing. You can find it here. And the first video (actually divided in two parts) is about the first South Florida SEO Meetup about “Getting started with social media” where Mark Laymon of www.AListSEO.com is giving an introduction and few juicy tips about social media marketing. I promise to create a better quality production next time, maybe using an external camera (this time I used the webcam embedded in my Mac Book Pro) and an external microphone.

Next Tuesday I’ll see if it will be possible to broadcast a PPC Meetup here in Pompano Beach, so stay tuned!
So, this past weekend I went to BarCamp Miami and FOWA and it was really really cool. I had the opportunity to meet a lot of really smart people and it was really inspiring.
First on Thursday I attended to the second BarCamp Miami. It was simply amazing. Almost everything worked out flawless, there was a lot of people and I actually learned things I might use in some of my actual projects.
I thought it was really interesting the concept express by Santiago Siri from Popego, about creating a central access to the information that normally we are used to spread through different social networks and web apps.
I also had a chance to meet some of the guys from South Florida SEO Meetup, that (if my cold won’t get too bad) I’ll probably see tomorrow night for the first of the two meetups in May.
Friday I went to the actual FOWA seminar, that honestly I didn’t enjoy as much as BarCamp, probably because there was too much distance between speakers and audience. But I really loved the last two presentations made by Cal Henderson, Flickr architect, and by Gary Vaynerchuk, from Wine Library TV. They were simply great. And probably you’ll be able to see both of them on their relative sites.
Conclusion: this was my first conference and it was for sure a cool experience.
Personal note: if you hope to learn some exclusive secret sitting at a presentation you are totally wrong. It’s all about network and getting in touch with all the smart people who usually wonder around in these events.
Ok I’m very excited. Tomorrow I’m going to BarCamp and Future of Web Apps 2008 (FOWA) in Miami. I know it’s not going to be like Las Vegas but I have to make the best of this experience meeting and gathering with as much people as I can. So if it happen you are going to be there just stop me to say hello, I’ll be happy to meet you all.
If you want to know where I am just check my twitter page at http://www.twitter.com/thegrin.
This weekend I’m going to disclose some info from our (me and Ben Block) Facebook Application project. I can tell you that numbers aren’t crazy but it was just an experiment and we didn’t play all our cards.
Ok, now I have to pack my stuff for tomorrow. Stay tuned.
